Hi everyone,

Week 2 continues with the exploration of social networking in an environment familiar to our students:  Facebook (http://ekulibrarylearning.blogspot.com/2007/07/5-facebook.html).  This is a fun site that allows users to share photos, exchange messages, engage in groups that share similar interests, and even have fun with applications that other Facebook users have created.  Once you have registered and log into Facebook, the next activity will be to add a friend.  (The discovery activity asks you to add me, though you can also search for some of your other colleagues, too.)  After adding me and/or one of your colleagues as a friend, check out their Facebook profiles/pages.  Look at the applications they have added.  Try out the “Superpoke” application, add some photos, update your “status.”  Just have fun exploring!  I am looking forward to seeing the Friend invitations filling my inbox.  I am also eager to read the blog entries on your experiences with Facebook this week.
